Our client is one of Canada’s largest manufacturers and servicers of industrial weigh scales, providing products and services to every industry that requires scales, including agriculture, pharma, logistics & transportation, mining, manufacturing, chemical, healthcare, waste and recycling. They manufacture in their 25,000 sq ft plant in Southwestern Ontario and sell across North America. They are Measurement Canada and ISO 17025 Accredited which means that they provide products and services to organizations with the highest standards of operations.
Scope of Position
Our client is seeking a CEO with strong operational expertise and a sharp commercial focus who will be responsible for ensuring that the company meets sales, production, installation and service targets in a cost-optimized and safe manner.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO oversees all sales, business development and operations by clearly defining goals and objectives that promote and maintain an atmosphere of continuous improvement in all areas of operation. The CEO, with their plant manager, is ultimately responsible for ensuring that the plant consistently produces high quality products and services that result in high customer satisfaction, and for growing the industrial scale business.
This is a period of new investment and growth for our client and have an exciting opportunity to lead a very experienced team. Working in a collaborative, dynamic and fast paced environment, the successful candidate will be a major drive of this next phase of their growth strategy
Functional Tasks
• Provide strategic leadership and oversight for the operational management of a large-scale industrial manufacturing and service organization, ensuring efficiency, quality, and alignment with long-term business goals.
• Drive customer relationship excellence and lead sales strategy development, fostering key partnerships and expanding market presence to achieve sustainable revenue growth.
• Oversee and guide the technical design and innovation of industrial scale systems, ensuring products meet market demands, industry standards, and align with the company’s technological roadmap.
• Lead financial planning, oversight, and performance management, ensuring fiscal responsibility, profitability, and alignment with corporate growth objectives.

Preferred Experience / Education
• Minimum 5 years’ C-level management experience in a manufacturing company focused on increasing plant throughput.
• Experienced in continuous improvement and key manufacturing techniques (5S, Kaizen, etc.)
• Demonstrated experience in business development, sales and customer service
• Manufacturing knowledge with welding systems
• Engineering related university degree (e.g., Mechanical, Process) is an asset
• Experience in leading operations-focused teams (e.g., performance management, conflict management, etc.,)
• Knowledge of best practices in management – asset effectiveness, reduction in cycle times, flexibility of the workforce, training, and recruitment etc.
