Having established a solid presence in these regions, our client continues to pursue development strategies to position ourselves in emerging markets such as China, India and Eastern Europe. Recent sales growth experienced by MSO’s and IPTV services providers has initiated the need to recruit an experienced Business Development Manager, Eastern-Region -USA
Scope of Position
This business development position will provide and exciting and challenging opportunity for a seasoned Cable/IPTV Technology business development professional in a fast paced, high tech environment. Working directly with MSOs and IPTV operators and with our Systems Integrators Resellers and partners, you will be responsible for identifying opportunities for the company’s Monitoring & Control products, with specific emphasis on the Kaleido and iControl family. Combining your extensive technical knowledge of cable/IPTV distribution networks with excellent channel management, technical sales & presentation skills, you will craft solutions from the company’s extensive family of products and enable operators provide the highest quality video services to their customers. This position will focus on customers based in the Eastern region USA.
Functional Tasks
Demonstrated ability to:
• Work directly with customers and with our Systems Integrators, Resellers and partners to promote the company’s Monitoring & Control product line.
• Handle key customer demonstration and presentation of the products
• Work with customers to define detailed needs & workflow analysis and to position our product offering within their needs;
• Prepare detailed customer sales proposals, quotations and achieve the desired sales objectives.
• Participate at major trade shows and other key customer events
• Work closely with product management and product development teams to integrate customer feedback into the product development roadmap
Key Performance Deliverables
In light of the identified responsibilities, the following are specific deliverables that the position is designed to achieve.
• Increase value of sales into new targeted customer accounts within the first 12 months.
• Increase of valid product sales opportunities/customers that are identified during the first 12 months.
• Achieve regional sales targets and business objectives.
Preferred Experience / Education
Personal requirements
• The employee will have to have good written and oral presentation skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and be self motivated and driven to succeed
• Significant travel will be required.
• Ability to work hands on when preparing demos or presentations
Academic requirements
• Bachelor Degree, (Engineering or Business)
Technical requirements
• Strong background in Cable and IPTV technology and operations with the ability to engage in deep technical discussions with customer’s engineering teams.
• Thorough understanding of network management technologies and systems.
• Thorough understanding of professional video and audio technology and customer applications;
• Strong background in IT
Experience
• 5+ years related video broadcast industry experience.
