The Company specializes in addressing two key areas of government and e-government applications:
- Licensing and enforcement of professions, occupations, businesses, facilities, brands, and credentials
- Case management for eligibility of health benefits.
E-government applications continues to represent an unprecedented opportunity for governments around the world to gain efficiencies while enhancing the experience of constituents in utilizing their services. The Company's state-of-the art e-portal technologies combined with its sophisticated rules engines and decades of experience with complex government processes equips it uniquely as the solutions provider of choice for government customers around the world.
The Company’s clients include a wide and growing variety of municipal, state and federal governments across numerous jurisdictions.
Scope of the Position
Reporting to the Vice-President of Licencing, and working closely with the CEO, the Director of Licencing will be the Company’s domain expert, technical point of contact, and primary interface in liaising with potential customers across North America.
The Director of Licencing will work closely with customers in translating their needs into proposals that will meet their pricing, systems and timing needs while serving the commercial needs of the Company itself. The individual will also respond to RFPs working closely with sales and engineering to incorporate their input into subsequent proposals. The Director of Licencing will also address conferences, write white papers, sit on panels, standards organizations and overall represent the Company’s capabilities in the market.
Functional Tasks
- Generate proposals from an end to end perspective. The proposal opportunities come to the firm via the State Government RFP process and targeted marketing campaigns. Proposal size ranges from $400k to $5 million.
- Consult with our current client base. This includes system audits; operational reviews; and recommendations for moving forward such as upgrades to the latest version of the product. These activities are concentrated around the company’s system.
- Build relationships at the CIO and Executive Director level of the customer base. This also extends to potential customers who may be considering a licensing system. These relationships may start at tradeshows or conferences.
- Be a hands-on leader who can mentor and develop key personnel.
- Have the interest and ability to become an expert in North American Licensing and Regulation.

Preferred Experience / Education
The following indicates specific industry, academic and functional experience/qualifications that are important to the successful achievement of the identified responsibilities and performance deliverables.
- Extensive experience in crafting proposals from all perspectives; technical; financial; business requirements etc.
- Has been involved in projects with large entities (preferably government) that include multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
- Ability to work as part of a team but also independently
- Interested in becoming an expert in the vertical market that is Licensing and Regulation.
- A knowledge of how vertical markets work would be helpful
- Understanding of the Government procurement process would be helpful.
- Has worked for an integrator or software firm with similar size implementations as the Company.
